Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders has never been shy about speaking his mind, especially when his kids are involved.

This week, fans got a fresh reminder of Coach Prime’s candid nature when an old video from March resurfaced online.

During the ProMat Conference in Chicago earlier this year, Sanders faced questions about his son Shedeur’s future in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The clip has found new life, highlighting one of the most talked-about storylines in the current draft cycle.

In the video, the reporter asked Deion if the Cleveland Browns might be a good landing spot for Shedeur.

His reaction? With a playful smirk crossing his face, he responded, “What did you say?”

After the reporter repeated the question about the Cleveland Browns, Deion couldn’t help but inject his signature flair: “We are praying for the Giants right now, yes, we are. Gonna be interesting though.”

Yikes: Deion Sanders on where he wanted Shedeur Sanders to be drafted:

What makes this whole situation fascinating is that Shedeur, despite being ranked as the second-best quarterback in his draft class, wasn’t selected until the 144th pick – by none other than the Cleveland Browns.

He didn’t even crack the top five quarterbacks taken in the draft.

The football world has split on interpreting this turn of events. Some believe it was the league’s way of showing Deion that his larger-than-life persona doesn’t place him above the NFL.

Others suggest it was meant to teach Shedeur a lesson in humility.

However, judging by Shedeur’s gracious reaction to being drafted in the fifth round, the young quarterback appears to have a genuinely positive character.

Many believe he’ll prove his worth when given the chance to shine on the field.

As for Deion, his previous comments about the Browns have certainly created some friction.

His reluctance to envision Shedeur in Cleveland colors didn’t sit well with Browns fans, who took his remarks as a slight against their beloved franchise.
